1. Why @DaisyDisk is awesome

I tweeted this morning about Daisy Disk, an excellent application for scanning hard disks on the Mac. It’s currenlty discounted 50% in the Mac App Store (link to store), down to $9.95. You should buy it.

I bought it about a year ago and it was useful… then I switched to a MacBook Air with a 128 GB hard disk… and it became invaluable. Once disk space is at a premium, it’s important to be able to see how you use it and, although I’ve looked, I haven’t found a better, faster, easier way to do this than Daisy Disk.

I won’t bore you with the details since there are reviews online, screenshots on the website and lots of other good information available. I will just say this: this app is super-fast and does exactly what it says on the tin with one-click ease.

I bought the app from the company and, thanks to today’s discount, I upgraded to the new version of the app through the App store so upgrades will be super-easy to find now. If by chance you don’t trust me, check out the demo version from the website… you’re going to love using this app and recommending it to others.
