    This entire essay is critical reading for any teacher who is less than a master-level user of technology. An excerpt:

    These skills are not intuitive; they are learned. In order to be learned, they need to be taught. In order to be taught by educators, these skills need to be learned by educators. Again, to be better educators, we need to be better learners

    Whitby says this stuff well but, honestly, it’s not that complicated. I’ve heard people say before that their professional goal is to make themselves obsolete but I’ve never felt that way before. As I begin my first year as a school-wide resource on Educational Technology, I find myself starting to feel it.
